The Owl Club records, 1886-1891.

The Owl Club was a literary association formed in 1886 by Charles T. Martin and Francis E. Brownell. The club met in Hartford, Connecticut, and minutes from meetings form the bulk of the collection. Also includes the constitution and by-laws with amendments and changes, a list of members, a list of "assignments" for individual presentations at each meeting, published programs from 1889-1891, and an invitation to a meeting in 1890 at Good Will Hall. The club consisted solely of men.
